- 4,4' -dihydroxydiphenylsulfoxide is mainly used as a color fixing agent. In addition, it can be used as bath additive, leather tanning agent, dispersing agent for high temperature dyeing of disperse dyes, phenolic resin hardening promoter, resin flame retardant and so on. It is also an intermediate of pesticides, dyes and auxiliaries. As A substitute for BISphenol A, it can be used as raw materials of polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polyester, phenolic resin, and polysulfone, polyether sulfone. The product is also used in the manufacture of color photographic materials, photographic contrast enhancers, thermal recording materials (color agents), daily surfactants and efficient deodorants.
